– Sundowner event at hotelToday is the day for our half-marathon runners! After an early breakfast, make your way to the start line. Our representatives will be in the hotel lobby to provide guidance. Spectators are welcome to join us in the dedicated Marathon Tours & Travel marquee at the finish area, the perfect spot to designate as your meet-up zone to find your family and friends.
In the early evening we will enjoy a sundowner event on the hotel lawn, celebrating our half-finishers and getting the marathoners ready for tomorrow. Keep the celebrations or prep going and head out for dinner, as always we recommend booking somewhere in advance to ensure you can eat at your preferred restaurant.

– Meet and greetWelcome to the spectacular Gold Coast! Make your way from the airport to the hotel and check-in. Usually, hotel rooms are ready after 3:00 pm, if you arrive earlier you can leave your luggage at the hotel.
Between 10:00-3:00 pm, a representative will be waiting in the lobby to greet you and answer any questions you might have.
This evening, join us for a light shake-out run along world-famous Surfers Paradise Beach. This will be at an easy pace and is a chance to loosen your legs. It will be no longer than 5km (approx. 3 miles).

The 2024 Gold Coast Marathon is set to take place on Sunday the 7th of July, 2024.The ASICS Half Marathon takes place the day before on Saturday the 6th July, 2024.

Course:
The marathon course has a reputation as one of the flattest and fastest courses in the world. The course traditionally runs up and back along the coast allowing runners to pass the beautiful beaches from Paradise Point in the north to Burleigh Heads in the south.Over 60% of participants achieve a personal best time each year making it a perfect place to qualify for the BAA Boston Marathon Abbotts World Marathon Major.
