The Sydney Marathon is Australia’s largest running event. Truly a world-class event, it has consistently achieved IAAF Road Race Gold Label status and is an Abbott World Marathon Majors candidate race. The marathon is run on a spectacular course showing off the iconic sights of Sydney.

Friday 13th September, 2024
Arrive in Sydney and make your way to the Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel at Circular Quay.
This evening join our exclusive Sydney Marathon Harbour Cruise with runners from all over the world.For 2 hours you will enjoy the beauty of the harbour as you look back onto the Sydney skyline. The cruise will include substantial canapes and a drink on arrival.
Saturday 14th September, 2024
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel.
Mid-morning our staff will guide you to the expo for race bib collection.
Enjoy the rest of the day your leisure. Consider booking the BridgeClimb, a hop on hop off pass or even a day tour to experience this wonderful city.
Sunday 15th September, 2024
Marathon Race Day!
Enjoy an early breakfast before meeting our representative in the hotel lobby who will be ready to guide you to the start area.
After your run make your way back to the hotel. Your hotel is located 950 meters from the finish line.
Enjoy some light refreshments and drinks at our post-race celebration party.

The 2023 Marathon Course
The Sydney Marathon starts across the harbour at Milsons Point, crosses the Sydney Harbour Bridge (Wow!), runs through the city streets, out to the green parks in the suburbs and back to finish in front of the Sydney Opera House. Whilst it’s not a completely flat route the marathon is still considered fast and very runner and spectator friendly. Time limit 7 hours. All the races start and cross over the Sydney Harbour Bridge and finish in front of the Sydney Opera House, except the Fun Run which ends at the Royal Botanic Gardens.

Awards: Everyone who finishes within the time limit will receive a commemorative medal with Marathon finishers receiving a finishers t-shirt.
Weather: September is the beginning of the spring season in Sydney. Runners should prepare for all weather conditions; you will find the most-up to date weather information here. Typically, at this time daytime temperatures will range from 16°C – 20°C though at the 2023 event the temperature was between 10-12°C warmer than usual due to a timely heat wave.

We are pleased to offer you guaranteed entry for the 2024 Sydney Marathon. You can buy the entry at our exclusive rates if you purchase your package with us.
Starting Times and Bib Numbers
Although we are licensed to sell official entries for the 2024 Sydney Marathon, we have no influence over the allocation of starting times and bib numbers.
Closer to the event we will ask for your expected pace and other details to complete the registration process for the Sydney Marathon Festival. The race organisers will allocate you a starting time and bib based on the information you provide.
All race rules must be followed.
